Mentawai tribe is one of the oldest tribes in Indonesia. The tribe populates the Mentawai Islands, West Sumatera, and is believed to have been inhibiting the islands since 500 BC. Lives in Mentawai depends on nature, and the Mentawai people believe that the forest is the abode of ancestral spirits.
